ERMIS / Hellenic Central Station S.A. is one of Greece's first alarm receiving centres (ARC), founded in 1982 (incorporated as an S.A. in 2004) and based in the Botanikos district of Athens. It operates a 24/7 monitoring centre that receives and manages alarm signals, performs visual/video alarm verification via CCTV, provides GPS tracking, and coordinates emergency response (police, mobile patrols). It reports over 25,000 subscribers and processes more than 10 million signals monthly, with personal-threat alarms handled within 30-60 seconds. The centre is heavily redundant: main and back-up receiver clusters, load sharing across receivers, a 44 kW standby generator with automatic UPS/generator transfer, and 130+ telephone lines plus IP/GPRS/leased-line connectivity. It serves both security installers/partners (dealer channel) and direct subscribers across Greece.
