ÖWD - Österreichischer Wachdienst

ÖWD (Österreichischer Wachdienst) is an Austrian security and services group operating since 1906, headquartered in Salzburg with seven regional offices covering all of Austria and around 2,800 staff. It provides manned guarding, mobile patrols, event and personal security, security technology (alarm systems, video surveillance, access control), building cleaning and insurance brokerage. It runs its own in-house Notruf ServiceCenter (NSC) in Vienna, described as Austria's largest private control room, certified to EN 50518 and operating 24/7. The business model is hybrid: it installs and services its own systems and also performs alarm monitoring (Alarmaufschaltung) of third-party systems. On alarm, operators verify by call or by live video transmission before dispatching response.
