Red Badge Group is a New Zealand-owned security company founded in 1997, headquartered in Penrose, Auckland, with regional offices in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. It provides security guarding, mobile patrols, event security, and alarm and CCTV monitoring nationwide. In December 2024 it acquired Code 9 (monitoring, 12,000+ customers) and Sub 5 (South Island patrols, 5,000+ customers), enabling integrated guarding, patrol and monitoring delivery under one provider. Its Code 9 monitoring centre operates 24/7 from a New Zealand facility and, on alarm activation, dispatches mobile patrols, notifies police or follows custom protocols. The model is hybrid: direct guarding/patrol/event services to commercial and residential clients, plus a wholesale Code 9 partner program where independent installers white-label monitoring under a rebate structure.
