S-1 Corporation (founded 1977 as Korea Security Co.; renamed S-1 in 1996, KRX-listed; SECOM/Samsung-affiliated) is South Korea's largest professional security and safety-solutions provider. It runs a vertically integrated, direct business model spanning electronic security (alarm monitoring, video surveillance, access control, sensors), integrated security for airports, plants, buildings and cities, information/network security, and building management. Its central monitoring (command and control) centers serve commercial and residential clients nationwide, identify alarm events in real time, and direct on-the-ground guards for rapid dispatch via a national support network involving police, fire and emergency services. Reliability is based on two physically separate but fully integrated control centers.
